Opened on Latvia's Independence Day (November 18, 2021) in parallel with the Latvian Railway Museum show, the Līgatne Gallery ZEIT exhibition presented 20 large-format structural canvases from the early Divine Comedy cycle in a revitalized historic industrial space.

Curatorial Essay & Exhibition Provenance

Gallery ZEIT in Līgatne — a former industrial building transformed into a vibrant regional contemporary art center — hosted the first half of Dags Vidulejs's 40-painting monumental cycle from November 2021 through February 2022.

High brick and industrial ceilings allowed the 2×2m and 3×2m canvases ('Business Marathon', 'Globalisation', 'Butterflies Dance') to breathe, proving how effectively the Divine Comedy cycle adapts to post-industrial cultural centers across Europe.
