INSTITUTIONAL CHAPTER 08 · 2022–2026

Curatorial Essay & Exhibition Provenance

Founded by Dags Vidulejs in 2014 to integrate the Baltic art market into global circulation, ART RIGA FAIR brings international gallerists, curators, and collectors to Riga every autumn and winter.

At ART RIGA FAIR 2022 in the historic Vernisāža building (Tērbatas iela 2, right across from the Cabinet of Ministers), 15 monumental Divine Comedy paintings formed the central curatorial axis. In subsequent editions (2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026), each newly painted cantica chapter was tested directly in front of international art professionals.
