The title of the exhibition uses a fragment from a poem by the artist's father, the poet Valdis Ruja, with which he greeted the coming of spring: "SOMETHING LOW and QUIET, LET'S GO TOWARDS THE SUN…” The exhibition will feature works created in the last three years and continuing the large-format painting cycle "Humanity. Civilization...". In his works, the artist contemplates the interplay between the fate of mankind and personal existence. People in his works often turn into only a decorative pattern in the overall picture: aspirants with the same faces, girls who all look the same like sisters, rows of soldiers with empty eyes. One of the most recognizable motifs in Dag Vidulej's creative work is the theme of clones, and some of the works of this series acquire a different meaning with time, clearly proving that it is the viewer, who creates reality by interpreting what they see. Dag Vidulej's works are in private collections in Germany, USA, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong. In a letter, Dante writes to him: “We can say briefly that the purpose of the entire work and (the third) part is to lift those living in this life out of misery and lead them to bliss. (..) Both the part and the work as a whole are designed for practice, not theory.” Interpretation of Dags Vidulejs Responding to the most important thing that interested him in Dante’s text, painter Dags Vidulejs reveals: “Dante includes his experience, what he has experienced in 100 cantos – in the light of Love, Faith and Hope. In the form of poetry, he outlines a vision of how space, environment, and sectors of the universe through which Dante travels change as his consciousness changes. Gaining experience, changing his attitude, after performing heroic, altruistic, and love-dictated actions, Dante becomes more sighted, he begins to see the Heavens open.” Social context In the socio-political context of recent years, we have become acutely aware of the darkest aspects of existence. The artist’s efforts to interpret Dante’s depictions of the origin of Time and Space (Primum mobile) in painting and to involve us on the path of truth discovery (the path that leads away from misery) currently seem to be very important – both for all of us as a society and for each individual. Dags Vidulejs tirelessly sets himself new tasks in his creative searches. His sensitive nature, cultivated intuition, and rich imagination help him on this path. And then a rainbow children will appear… The children of the rainbow began to be born in 2012 and will continue to be born into the world until 2021. They will follow the generation of crystal children, will be fearless and ready to bring to life radical, new changes, to implement the indigo and crystal children initiated by human development. Rainbow children often come into the world of indigo or crystal parents. If the wisdom of indigo souls is measured in centuries, but crystals - in the decades before their birth, then the rainbow, on the contrary, are new souls who do not have such experience and knowledge. Their path will be determined by what will be placed in them for a lifetime, but they will be fearless and not afraid to love. They are also vulnerable to the downside of life and need spiritual protection. Each future generation is smarter and more advanced than the previous one, our evolution continues. But what are crystal and rainbow babies?Until 15 or 20 years ago, we did not know modern phenomena such as organic products or phytotherapy, which now seem quite mundane and natural. Such a big change has taken place in a relatively short period of time thanks to indigo children born with the so-called "new wave of consciousness". Indigo children were born before 1987. Indigo children are called system breakers, they create the imbalance that we can now observe after longer historical periods with a more even development trend.
